While we know our clients are model beautiful, most of the time they've never worked as a model and have not been in front of a professional photographer other than that one time with the family at Sears!  Having the confidence in your wedding photographer to capture fantastic images of YOU is extremely important to us and basically how we create amazing wedding photography.  Your engagement session will be one of the exciting first steps in the wedding process for you.  As a prelude to the big day, it's an awesome opportunity to grab some fun, casual shots of the two of you, for us to get to know you and your story and most importantly...feel confident behind our camera.

We believe in the power of engagement sessions so much that we do one complimentary for every wedding couple as a part of their collection and it's our one non-negotiable item.  We often capture our couples in some of their favorite places, doing some of their favorite things or bringing props that represent them as a couple.  It's a GREAT way to connect and share what's meaningful to you with us.

We travel frequently with our clients for their e-session either to their hometown or to a mutual destination. We've shot e-sessions in Seattle, Portland, NYC, San Francisco, Malibu, Las Vegas, Rome, and enjoy sharing a new location with new clients.  Ask us about a destination engagement session for more info!

These are the images that are often used in a guest book or even as part of the wedding in the invitation, save the date and your wedding website.  Usually the first professional photographs taken of our couples, many are so excited by the results they order canvases and other wall art to show off in their home.  Engagement sessions are typically taken 6 months prior to your wedding date.
