{Sean + Jessica} Elk Lake Resort, Bend, Oregon Wedding Photography

July 28th, 2014 : Weddings

A beautiful day up at Elk Lake Resort surrounded by the Cascade Mountain Range near Bend, Oregon and your family/friends is all you need for an amazing wedding setting and this was truly the case for {Jessica + Sean’s} wedding!  Some details that stand out is the fact that Sean’s best man and friend Tom was not able to make it because he was having a baby, so Tom’s father Don stood in for him, (and read a tear jerking toast letter in the process)! A photo of Tom’s head and a pic of Tom and his wife was brought to the wedding so theoretically they we’re there!  Also, I think it’s easy to say that I saw the best father/daughter dance to date as Jessica’s father Randy danced to not one but three songs and ripped it up on the floor with his daughter, (Thanks Randy as I will sooo be doing that when my daughter Shelby get’s hitched some day!)  As sunset came one, I knew these two would be ready for some fun after our crazy engagement session in the snow last winter, (I’m sure they remember my impromptu back flip trip in the white stuff while holding my gear eh guys?), so I was super excited they we’re game for some play time on the standup paddle board in their wedding duds.  Thanks you two for a memorable wedding and continued friendship!

{Brooke + Patrick} Black Butte Ranch, Sisters, Oregon Wedding Photography

July 9th, 2014 : Weddings

We first met {Brooke + Patrick} while up in Seattle for their engagement session.  They had recently bought a really cool old house and we’re in the process of renovating it and that day Patrick was in a 5′ deep hole, (that use to be their porch) and was dealing with some drainage issues…..   I learned more than anything about them that day that these two will be there to support each other through thick and thin!!

Fast forward to their sunny wedding at Black Butte Ranch and it was a whole new world as this place has amazing views of the Cascade range and Phalarope Lake.  The support of their friends and family was evident as I think there were at least 20+ different areas of the country (and abroad) recognized.  They even had their yellow lab Dublin and Bear there to back them up during the ceremony/reception and being a dog lover I’m always excited to see the pooches representing.  Wendy and I were honored to be at your wedding and we hope you enjoy these images!

{Amanda + Eric} Timberline Lodge, Mt Hood, Oregon Wedding Photography with an Alice in Wonderland Theme

May 19th, 2014 : Weddings

Let me take you down the rabbit hole of incredible weddings this year by talking about our Timberline Lodge, Mt. Hood, Oregon wedding with {Amanda + Eric}.  As many of you know, Wendy and I were married at Timberline in 08 so this place holds a significant amount of memories for us as well!  When Amanda and Eric told me their wedding was going to have an Alice in Wonderland theme I was super excited but didn’t know what to expect as the ideas can be endless and to what extent would they be focusing on this theme I wouldn’t know until the wedding day.  Well, all I can say is their wedding was amazing!!!  The details we’re endless and well thought out as everything fit together in a way that made this wedding extremely unique and beautiful in it’s own right.  From the fantastic brides maids hats, to the hooka’s on the dinner tables, to the flower girls and boys who wore masks and propeller caps, to the “Harlem shuffle” processional after the ceremony, to the….we’ll the list goes on and on but you get the picture.  So here it is for all of you to see!  Enjoy

Oh, and of course I’d like to thank photographer Andrew Larkin for being my awesome 2nd shooter of the day in addition to my beautiful wife who came up with our 15 DAY old daughter Shelby to create the day of wedding slideshow, and my parents for looking after Shelby while Wendy was creating the day of wedding slideshow!  It was a team effort!

Great Gatsby themed inspiration photo shoot at Sunriver Resort, Oregon and The Great Hall for La Fleur Magazine

I’m always up for inspiration shoots as it makes me explore my creativity and take chances without doing this at an actual wedding, so when La Fleur Magazine contacted me about a Great Gatsby concept shoot at Sunriver Resort, Oregon utilizing the Great Hall I was all in.  I like the Great Gatsby theme as the roaring 20′s we’re really about pushing beyond traditions in literally every aspect of life and well, being a creative, I love that environment!  Here are my favorites of the day and I’d like to certainly thank everyone for taking the time and energy to make this an amazing session.  Thanks to our models for taking the time to make all this happen as well:  Clair Stevenson, Joshua Morse, Thomas Kealey, Karissa Moline, Kim Nase and Jacob Moyer!!

{James + Lesley} M Resort Las Vegas, Nevada Wedding Photography

May 5th, 2014 : Weddings

These two sure know how to have a heck of a lot of fun! As you scroll through their wedding photos you can easily see the joy of the day as well as the laughs and light-hearted play of {James + Lesley’s} wedding day. The M Resort was a beautiful location with all the modern texture and creativity WE LOVE to shoot. One of the most amazing things about this venue was the ceremony location and the aisle of the wedding, which was in between two fabulous pools. Made for some creative angles and very special moments.

As we welcome these two into our family, we can’t help but see how perfectly matched they are. {James + Lesley}, thank you for choosing us to document this special time for you both, it was such a joy to witness your love, be behind the scenes and still be able to celebrate with you afterwards!

Love you guys, B + W

{Annie + Brad} Broken Top Club Wedding Photography; Central Oregon

April 10th, 2014 : Weddings

Wonderfully warm for Bend in mid-February, {Annie + Brad}’s wedding was amazing to attend at Broken Top Club in Central Oregon!  This wedding was classic and elegant with little personal touches like the peach color ties and pocket watches for the guys and Annie’s dress that was a two piece with beautiful separate top.  Their wedding was a true showing that with what ever happens, everything looks amazing, as I’m referring to the fact that the day prior to the wedding, Annie accidentally broke one of her shoes and through the help of Brad and other friends, she had 3 new pairs of the same shoe to choose from at the wedding, (with a choice of different size).  So what are they doing now?  We’ll not only we’re they planning a wedding last year…it turns out they are philanthropists as well and will be climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro this September to raise money for children with AIDS in Africa.  All the best to you both on your mission!  Wendy and I look forward to new adventures with you both!!
