Desert Wedding Inspiration; Phoenix, AZ
One obsession with visiting Phoenix is taking my dad’s ’67 red convertible Mustang for a spin. You can’t go wrong when you combine that car with a fiery redhead, the beautiful model Casey, and the Phoenix, Arizona sun.
We traversed over to the Phoenix Mountain Preserves and dabbled at the Arizona Biltmore for this fun in the sun inspiration shoot. Thanks Casey for taking a leap of faith with us and letting us capture your beautiful smile
We had a blast!
Cheers,

2011 Wedding Highlights – The Ultimate Gala
Well it’s the first of the year and we’re so excited about all the new experiences we’ll be having with our 2012 couples in these next twelve months! Since we just blogged about our engagement highlights of 2011, we couldn’t really call ourselves wedding photographers if we didn’t focus on the amazing weddings we were part of last year.
Each couple, (as everyone who’s married knows) put many, many hours of work into creating a personal vision of what their ultimate gala was to be. To us this is the highest honor as the work that each of you put in becomes a direct translation to the photography we create and that trust you have in us and our work is truly the greatest form of flattery.
We feel very fortunate to be involved in such an important part of peoples lives and how we’re allowed to help others through our love of photography. Thank you again for all the hard work, trust and excitement each of you has given us. It’s always been an amazing privilege to call each one of you our friends and the time we’ve spent with you, your family and your friends has been our pleasure.
So here’s a toast to all the happy couples we worked with last year and all the amazing couples we’ll be working with this year. May love continue to fill your hearts with warmth!
Cheers and a big Happy New Year!

{Sara + Jon} Wedding Photography Inspiration Shoot for Brasada Ranch, Oregon – Part 1 Featuring: Mint Event Coordination & Design
We had the great pleasure of shooting for Brasada Ranch recently to highlight their beautiful barn for an indoor winter wedding venue. It was a grand collaboration with Brasada and a handful of elite vendors strutting their stuff. The entire barn was transformed with four different vignettes and the winter sunset gave the entire venue, with full mountain vista, a beautiful glow. Sara + Jon were the bride and groom models for the epic day and were a joy to work with.
Part 1: (See Part 2: Ceylon Blu)
We will be featuring two individual blog posts for this marketing inspiration shoot as two of the four vignettes were creatively designed by Mint Event Coordination & Design. Mint put together two groups of table decor, floral and brought a cake and detail accessories for the shoot. The below images feature their beautiful work and some bride + groom shots on location on and around the grounds of Brasada Ranch. Special thanks Mint Event Coordination & Design and their respective vendors that made these designs possible!
Event Design: Mint Event Coordination & Design

Dramatic and beautiful you two!
Hair piece from Buttons and Blossoms (right) and fun shoes from the bride!
Vintage bouquet and boutonniere from Mint Floral
Farm house tables from O’Brien Events…what a great idea and a ton of fun.
Vignette #2 from Mint Floral…and abundance of sophistication and color!
I love the modern, sophistication of this vignette…maybe I’m just partial to orange and blue
Another favorite from the day…
A fun take on the traditional ‘dress’ shots

RWARRR….
Upstairs in the barn is this fantastic backdrop as well. Another stunning portrait of Sara
Although it’s December and rather chilly, these two were major sports and Sara even had a little fur to keep warm.
Beautiful florals from Blue Daffodil. I loved the idea of them growing from a garden as in the shots above.
Classic beauty for table settings from Ceylon Blu
Floral vignette #2 from Blue Daffodil!
Cowboy decor for vignette #2 from Ceylon Blu…TOO FUN!
Beautiful hair pieces and accessories from Buttons & Blossoms – the bride’s own company
If you want a tux alternative, we love the Italian fashion from Portland, Oregon C O L L I E R. Check it out!
Ahhh, sunset on the high desert
On of the many beautiful highlights of Brasada is their sunset vista.

Downtown San Diego CA Wedding Photography Inspiration Workshop
Wrapping up the last day of Pictage PartnerCon 2011 in San Diego, CA, we jumped at the opportunity to participate in some continuing educational and shooting wedding photography workshops. Wendy shot with Sara France in a fabulous industrial location in downtown San Diego with a single bride (Chelsea) and a bride/groom (Tracy + Matt, wedding photographers in their own right!) and Byron shot video with the Bui Brothers in the nearby Padres Park with a couple as a mock engagement session.
Below are the fun selects from the Sara France workshop…seriously couldn’t have asked for a better location, better models and fun group! We’re digging the style you bring, Sara! Also, special thanks to the Bliss Events for the dresses!
Happy Friday!

{Artist Series}
One of our favorites with Chelsea…and one of the last frames with her.
Pin-up worthy…seriously Tracy.
Another favorite…you couldn’t have asked for better light!
{Originals}
Chelsea looking mighty fabulous! We didn’t use flash during this workshop but I did sneak in one frame where I lit up the large fan on the right image. Couldn’t help myself!
One of our favorites of the day!
Matt and his stylin’ self
Loved how the shoes matched the tie and I’m sorry but hats on men just work.
Dueling brides….
Sara has some great video lights that we played with a bunch; here, Chelsea has two lights on her.
Our group of 15 all huddled behind Sara.
