I remember the first day we met. Of course, I was immediately drawn in by your good looks and athletic skills, but what hooked me was your kindness. Each day since, I have thanked my lucky stars and the Goodness that makes things be for aligning in such a manner that brought us together.
You, my love, have brought a wonderful light into my life. Your kind, gentle, and constant love makes each day a gift. What I admire most about you is your genuine commitment to the greater good. You make me want to be a better person and I think that’s one of the best things about our love.
What I look forward to most on our wedding day is sharing our first kiss as husband and wife. I know it sounds cliché, but this is a moment I have waited for my whole life and I couldn’t be more excited and grateful that I have found you. What I love most about you is your genuine, deeply caring heart. You’re a private person, so you don’t let just anyone see. But when you allow someone into your world, and your true spirit is revealed, it makes whomever is lucky enough to see melt from head to toe. And I’m one such lucky woman. I know with every fiber of my being that your loyalty, your love, your charm, your humor are gifts… and I’m so very lucky to be one whom you’ve chosen to give your gifts so generously.
We were going to meet…the universe had that plan for us I know…both single children of foreign language educators and curriculum developers meeting because of our mother’s professional conference, it’s uncanny how many stars aligned to make sure you and I met that night on that harbor cruise in a town where neither of us lived. But it was your presence and persistence that night, and nearly every night since that enabled us to be together. You never gave up. You fought for us to be together no matter what obstacle lay before us. I thank you for that, I thank you for us!
Why you above all else? I’m not the youngest bride ever. I never felt a great need to be a bride, which only further speaks to the fact that when I chose you above all others to share my life with, it was because what we’ve created is so much more than I’ve ever experienced, more than I thought was possible between two people. It’s been three short years, and just as when we first met, with a simple touch of your hand I get a warmth that passes through my entire being. It’s hard to put into words but no matter what is going on with work, family, life stuff, if we’ve been apart I can’t wait to see you. I always look forward to your look, your touch, your being, YOU. And no one else has ever made me feel that that could be… timeless.
What I’m most looking forward to on our wedding day is seeing your face for the first time, and knowing that I get to see our hopes, dreams, love, fears, joys, plans, and faith in one another grow every day for the rest of our lives. I can hardly wait!

I am so thankful three years ago, on completely opposite ends of Vegas, we both decided to take a leap into the crazy world of online dating in hopes of finding love. I was very skeptical about the whole thing but deep down I hoped I would find my perfect match. You far exceeded any expectations and visions of love I had in my mind. You have brought so much to my life; including aspects I didn’t even know were missing.
The past three years have been the best of my life. We became a family when we adopted our nervous wreck of puppy Abby. It is amazing to see the love, patience, and dedication you have for her. I’m so proud of what you accomplished, turning her into the little lady she is today. Seeing you with her, I have no doubts you will be an amazing father. And now you have a new project, welcome to the pack crazy little Riggins!
You are my best friend, my biggest supporter, my love. We are complete opposites in many ways but at the core we share the same values, dreams, and aspirations. I have never been in a relationship that is so naturally easy. We have so much fun together and without a doubt I know life will never be boring with you by my side! We complement each other perfectly, enabling and encouraging each other to be better version of ourselves yet loving each other exactly as we are. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us. Meeting you will forever be one of my life’s greatest accomplishments and thinking about our encounters has become a favorite pastime of mine. For me, meeting you 5 years ago was a complete accident. You said one thing, I said another, and before I knew it, I wanted to spend the rest of my life in the middle of that conversation. I had a feeling in that moment that you were someone that would become one of the most special people in my life. Granted, it took some time to determine this was the kind of love that I had been dreaming of but once I did, I knew you were the one I was going to spend the rest of my life with.
You’re completely nuts by the way! The kind of nuts that makes me smile for no reason at all. A great deal of maintenance required – in a good way. I love the way you smell, a scent that stays with me and catches me off guard in the loneliest of places. I love your mind, an endless pool of insight that challenges my view of the world. Pure and simple, I never want to know a day of life without you in it.
Thank you for making me feel like the most important person in your life and thank you for sharing life’s adventures with me. I enjoy days where we laugh at the silliest things and I enjoy the days that inspire me to learn a new perspective.
