Time To Smell The Roses…or Rhododendrons.

Hendricks Park in Eugene, Oregon (a spontaneous trip for the Memorial Day weekend for us!) was a beautiful site filled with the scent of thousands of rhododendrons.  Every color combination was represented on the exquisite retreat.  As an experiment with light and color, and my favorite 50mm lens, I took off shooting every flower scene that moved me.  All in all it was a great day, one of those days where you just follow your nose and see where life takes you.  We’re now the proud new owner of another Nikon D300 (the real reason for our Eugene trip!), just in time for wedding season!

Jackie & Russ Get Married In The Beautiful Central Oregon Town Of Bend

So I get this call from Jackie and she explains to me that the very next day is her wedding and she needs a photographer.  It turns out that her marriage to Russ was not random at all though.  They both love Central Oregon and decided to drive over to Bend for the day, get married, have a quick photo shoot, celebrate with some lunch and drive back up to Washington.  We had a great time together and I was thoroughly impressed as Jackie walked up this rocky trail in her heels to get to a tree swing and some great views.  Congratulations to the both of you!

Zydeco Restaurant Of Central Oregon Moves To Downtown Bend

One of the best places to eat out in Central Oregon, hands down, is Zydeco Restaurant.  Now that they’ve moved into their new swank downtown Bend location, what was once the best kept secret (OK, it really wasn’t a secret since they were usually packed previously) is now THE place to be.  Being Wendy and my favorite place to dine, we were excited to help Steve and Cheri promote their new location through a recent photoshoot.  No need to drool, just stop in or call them at 541.312.2899…don’t forget the prime rib on Friday by the way.
