Commercial Photography for Gusto, Bend Oregon's Food and Wine Magazine
In the last month I was able to begin working with Gusto Magazine and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Gusto changed their focus, with this new issue, to incorporate more of what Bend has to offer but still keep the contemporary fresh look their known for. During one shoot, I was able to photograph a daughter and mother at Spa W. in Bend, while they were being prepped for a pedicure. It was cramped in that little area, and I nearly fell in the ladies laps a few times while moving around but they were all great to work with, including owner Rebecca. When I was through the tech’s were able to finish the task at hand and I spent my remaining time at the spa shooting some local skin products.
My other shoot for the spring issue was at the Italian restaurant Guiseppe’s and their back bar (appropriately named) Goomba’s. Owner Peggy and her crew were super nice and receptive to my being there and this made for an enjoyable evening. It’s a real change to go from shooting weddings where the action doesn’t stop coming until the end of the night to photographing food. There’s a different kind of creativity in shooting food when the photographer has complete control over what’s in the frame. More importantly though, the actual colors of food can really be striking to a viewer when everything is taken into account. Enjoy and salivate-

Central Oregon Ad Fed Presents the Drake Awards
Friday the 13th was a great night as I had the honor of participating in the Drake’s for Central Oregon as the official event photographer. What’s a better place to hold awards for creative geniuses of the area than in a airplane hanger at the Bend Airport? Those attending could admire their peers work, catch up with old friends, enjoy a cocktail from Bend Distillery and celebrate the night by dancing to DJ Swett. Enjoy-
The Sweet Harlots & Laurel Brauns Promo Images And Band Posters
Wendy and I had a great time shooting some promotional images with The Sweet Harlots for their upcoming show at McMenamins on St Patrick’s Day. We also recorded some video footage with the intention of creating a music vid while the band recorded a couple tracks for a CD. Here are the three posters that were designed by amazing artist Esther Kang of Alpie Design. If your in town, don’t forget to come out to watch and listen to the Sweet Harlots on March 17th! Cheers-

Creative Maternity Photography
It was an honor to shoot fellow photographer and friend, Cindy and her husband Jonathan for their maternity photos! Cindy was open to all types of different maternity shots to play off of her creativity and style. The idea of laying on corrugated metal at 7 1/2 months would not be exciting for most moms-to-be but that didn’t stop Cindy! Thank you for letting us bring such ideas to the table and as you can see, they certainly paid off. Congratulations to mom and dad-to-be, we look forward to meeting your newest addition very soon!
