{Michelle + Karl} Wedding Photography Timberline Lodge; Mt Hood, Oregon

-

Timberline Lodge is one of our favorite places on earth, (maybe it’s because Wendy and I we’re married there?) so we were honored when {Michelle + Karl} choose us to photograph their wedding in such an amazing place. The insane views of Mt Hood and the rustic nature of the lodge from the huge 2 story stone fireplace to the feel of a true getaway set the setting for this wedding. If anyone doesn’t know the story how this lodge came to be, let me help- The lodge was built from 1936 to 1938 by the Works Progress Administration during the Great Depression and was built and furnished entirely by local artisans. FDR himself dedicated the Timberline Lodge on September 28, 1937 so if there was ever some history in a building this place has it!

Being the adventurous type that we are, we loved hopping on the chairlift to capture some epic images of {Michelle + Karl} further up on Mt Hood.  The weather was truly amazing (warm and not much wind) and you could see for miles up there!  Surrounded by the wonderful emotions that come from being around family, friends and their Bernese Mountain dog Sparks, {Michelle + Karl} tied the knot outside among the wild flowers and looming summit of Mt Hood.  Enjoy the images below as this is their story.  Congratulations to you both!!
