{Laura + Brian} Portland, OR Engagement Photo Session

-

I met {Laura + Brian} out at the McMenamins Cornelius Pass Roadhouse & Imbrie Hall in Hillsboro just west of Portland after driving the prerequisite 3 hours from Bend while it rained the entire time.  Thinking that we might be doing much of their engagement session inside, just as I pulled into this eclectic area that only the McMenamin brothers can create so well, it stopped raining and it was game time!  Usually when I meet a new couple for the first time at their engagement session I want to sit and chat a while to give them a little pep talk so to speak but in this case we all thought it best to not chance the monsoon that could be right around the corner.  So off we went to this sweet octagonal barn on the property to start and I was so impressed how {Laura + Brian} immediately just started joking with each other with this relaxed air to them and I knew the session would not only be fun but easy to get super natural and emotional images of the two of them.  At some point our chatting came around to their winery around Grants Pass, (yes, these two make wine-how cool is that!), and we see this shed and the talk goes to, “hey, I wonder if there’s anything cool in there?”.  So we go in and it turns out there’s this sweet 1800’s French copper distillery where their making at the moment small batches of brandy, gin and other sweets to tickle your palette.  The master of this contraption is a fella by the name of Bart and not only did he let us photograph around the distillery, he even gave us a history lesson of the distillery and how it’s all done – Bart, your awesome!   I only have one thing to say to you all out at McMenamins Roadhouse, Thank You for making {Laura + Brian}’s engagement session super memorable!  {Laura + Brian}, we can’t wait to see you guys again for your wedding at Langdon Farms!
